Business Development Manager, AI Solutions (Hong Kong)

About the Role
We are establishing our AI Solutions business in Hong Kong, with Joincom China Limited as the contracting entity. We are looking for a senior business development professional to be the first hire of our Hong Kong AI team.
This is not a traditional SaaS sales role. You will be working with enterprise clients in financial services, retail, professional services, and Greater Bay Area cross-border businesses—translating complex business pain points into AI consulting and solution engagements. Project values typically range from HKD 500,000 to HKD 3,000,000+, with sales cycles of 3-6 months.
You will be supported by Joincom's mature AI 协作 framework (AI-0 dispatch model + multiple specialized Claude Projects + Claude Code for technical execution), as well as our delivered case base from Mainland China operations (Hitachi Elevator, Bear Electric Appliances, and others).
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Solution Selling
- Develop new business in Hong Kong's enterprise market, with focus on financial services (banks, insurance, asset management), retail, professional services, and Greater Bay Area cross-border opportunities
- Translate ambiguous client business challenges into actionable AI consulting and solution proposals
- Lead client meetings, navigate complex stakeholder maps, and drive multi-month sales cycles independently
- Identify decision-makers in enterprise clients and design tailored engagement strategies
Proposal Development & Deal Closing
- Work with technical and delivery teams to design solutions, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Use AI tools to produce high-quality client research, proposal documents, and industry insights efficiently
- Maintain accurate client data in CRM throughout the sales lifecycle
Compliance & Cross-Border Coordination
- Ensure all client engagements comply with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO)
- Navigate cross-border data and service considerations between Hong Kong and Mainland China clients
- Coordinate with Guangzhou headquarters on shared accounts and delivery resources
Account Growth & Knowledge Building
- Drive renewals and upsell opportunities post-signing, transforming one-time deals into long-term partnerships
- Build the Hong Kong market knowledge base, case studies, and industry playbooks
- Contribute to the team's collective intelligence through Strategy repository and AI-assisted documentation
Requirements
Must-Have
- 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience with proven independent deal-closing track record (individual deals of HKD 500K+)
- Strong understanding of enterprise procurement processes and decision-making chains in Hong Kong
- Native-level Cantonese AND business-level English (能主持英文会议、撰写英文方案)
- Fluent Mandarin (必要——需对接内地总部及大湾区客户)
- AI proficiency at Level 2 or above: active Prompt library or AI workflow, demonstrable productivity gains from AI tools
- Familiarity with Hong Kong's PDPO and basic understanding of cross-border data transfer rules
- Excellent written communication in both English and Chinese
- Legal right to work in Hong Kong (HKID, dependent visa, or other valid work authorization)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience selling AI, SaaS, or digital transformation services
- Existing client relationships in financial services, retail, or professional services
- Understanding of SEO, content marketing, data analytics, or related digital concepts
- Experience working in cross-border teams (Hong Kong + Mainland China collaboration)
- Prior experience as the first hire or team-builder in a new market

| Base Salary | HK$30,000-42,000 (standard); HK$42,000-60,000 (senior) |
| Year-end Discretionary Bonus | Typically 1 month base salary, subject to company and individual performance |
| Sales Commission | 5%-9% tiered structure based on annual signed and collected revenue, uncapped |
| Probation | 3 months, base at 80-90% of regular salary (commission unaffected) |

Final compensation will be determined based on interview assessment and negotiation.
